3-13-13 McMeghan and 3 other ACD's come into rescue after being abandoned on a Northern Michigan property. McMeghan is a small blue female, weighing under 20 pounds, yet needs to gain about 10 pounds due to her being starved.
3-14-13 McMeghan was spayed today, vaccinated, heartworm tested, microchipped and dewormed. Our vet ages her around 2-3 years old. McMeghan is a cautious girl, and understandably so. They will make good companion ACD's, but may or may not make good working dogs. The phone call asking for help said they were used for herding, but I don't see that "drive" in them at the moment. Of course, they are more worried about catching up on groceries.
