(Adopted) Sr Miss Lou (Hospice) 4-1-21
4-1-21 Miss Lou comes into rescue after her owners (since she was a pup) moved out of the country. She was not fixed, vaccinated, HW prevention, and all of this information was withheld in addition to her having a mass on her liver (a year ago).
The vet reports state the owner declined all care since she would be passing away.
We have spayed her, vaccinated, microchipped, HWTested in order to place her in a Hospice Home. She is very sweet. She had not lived in a house (was an outside dog) and uses a dog door to go in and out here. She does not like other dogs, so would prefer her last years to be quiet and non-confrontational. (Even though she does share an exercise yard with our senior Beagle)
(Adopted) Ms Mimi

(Adopted) Sr Cali (Aussie x ACD)
6-21-21 Welcome, another Senior, named Cali. Her owners daughter kept calling her an ACD, but all her paperwork (and looks) says Australian Shepherd.
She is 8 years old and joined her senior owners 3 years ago. Sadly, both owners are having health concerns and one is in hospice. They are relocating closer to their daughter. She is used to a quiet household but is used to being boarded while they were attending doctors appointments and treatments. She must get a little anxious because there was a thunder shirt and Trazodone in her bag. (She will NOT receive Trazodone here) Another explanation is Cali knows that her owners were struggling. The owner in Hospice said that until just recently they would walk 5 miles a day.
