(Adopted) Husky “Griswold”

Soon we will have an adult Husky ready for adoption. He is in rough shape, without any training or vetting. He is actually a nice friendly guy. He seems to like other female huskies. Since he is/was intact he can be bossy around males. He seems to be middle age/ young senior by his horrible teeth. His teeth may be horrible because of neglect or lack of proper nutrition or chewing his way out of captivity. He will require a fenced yard. Guessing he will be available around the first part of June. Applications accepted now.

(Adopted) ACD Sr Athena

3-3-21 Athena, DOB 11-24-14, comes into rescue as an owner surrender due to “getting over protective” as shown on her paperwork. Our phone conversation said that she was fighting with the puppy, and there was worry that the children/baby would be hurt.

Athena is a fearful dog, who came with out collar and was let out of the vehicle, where she promptly ran around scared. The owners were heart broken to surrender her and the emotions helped to make her more fearful, in my opinion. When you try to put a slip lead on her or when she meets a new person she pees and poops out of fear. Her paperwork from the vet also notes that she is extremely fearful and needs to be muzzled at the vet

She is currently in our senior dog social group, and is not causing problems with the other dogs. She loves to play fetch!

“Ledger Jax” 2-18-21

2-18-21 We were contacted about a 10 month old “Border Heeler” that was purchased from a person we recognize as a puppy miller. In my opinion he has GSD in him by his appearance. He came in as a fearful dog who didn’t walk on a leash or have social skills.

Adopted! “Almay”

12-16-20 Almay, at 14 weeks, comes into rescue at 14 weeks old, the reason stated was “aggression”. She is not a bad dog, just one who was taken away at 6 weeks and they wonder why she is insecure.
She was vetted on 1-13-21 and will require a patient and experienced adopter who can keep her being a good girl.
The surrender, a month ago, did not give up her medical records after repeatedly asking.
She is a submissive pee’er which tells me she wants to be good just is insecure.
They have called her a LabraHeeler but like I said there is no paperwork confirming that.
Applications only will be accepted.

Adopted AuCaDo “Alle”

allegra.jpg

8-4-20 Allegra, a year old female Blue Heeler, comes into rescue as a shelter transfer.

She has a docked tail, and is shy at first meeting. Once she trusts you, she is following around, and likes to get treats.

She seems to get along with the dogs here.

The transferring shelter, showed her as being food aggressive on her paperwork, however we are not “taking” her food away from her and always feed them individually

10-3-20 Allegra was Adopted.

12-25-20 Allegra ‘heeled’ and broke skin requiring stitches for a guest at the home. It sounds like she has been getting away with heeling people for some reason.
