6-23-13 Angelina (Angie) tries again to find her "person". One of our previous adopters was looking for a girl just like her! She is on her way to Owosso Michigan to join up with Dad and Spirit and Rocky. (Their adopted Chrystal passed away.) We figure this placement will be just what we have been looking for.(No Drama)

5-27-13 False Alarm, Angelina is coming back to rescue. She was left home alone, and she broke out of the crate. Their previous dog did the same thing, and they just didn't put her in the crate, someone is there. So Angelina was set up to fail, even after I gave them ideas of what to do. (How did we get cement work done with her being out of her element for 5 days.) Would seem like with my knowing her for 6 months, that I might just know a little bit about her.

5-24-13 Angelina has a pending adoption.

12-3-12 Angelina Bree comes into rescue from an IN shelter yet she has MI tags. Then, to make things more difficult the microchip that she has, is registered to a PitBull.

Oh, and we have a fence jumper and escape artist on our hands too. It's a good thing she is friendly. Angelina is a very small girl, guessing her weight at 20 pounds. We've had a week to work on her evaluation, and we are finding that she is looking for her person and she does not know (or does not want to know) the meaning of NO. She will dart out an open door whether it is a crate door or a kennel door. She can jump over a 6 foot fence and will attempt to open the door on a less than sturdy crate. With a well made crate that is fastened down and an extra snap on the door, she does stay in the crate overnight here. (one battle won)

She really is a nice girl, but we cannot "give in" to her yet, until she shows us that she can use basic manners. She will be looking for a home where she can be with her person during the day / night.

To be fair, this girl was at the shelter since June, and was supposedly surrendered there because she was crated 10 hours a day. She had all those hours to figure out how to escape. And, this seemed to carry over into the shelter, where she either learned these bad behaviors or was allowed to continue the behaviors. When she came here, she could not even "wait" at a door without "busting" right through it. She had LOTS of practice. 1-4-13 She has thrown everything out there in manners of escape, and now we are living in a more peaceful co-existence. (WE WIN!) It has been "days" since she has escaped the exercise yard. Just to let you know, she was not escaping to run away, but wanted to find us and be with us.
