Meet Houghton Zac in Remus
2-11-17 "Zac" comes into rescue as an owner surrender from the UP. He was adopted from a shelter in New Mexico at around a year old, after being returned there. He was neutered and adopted at only 6 weeks old. So, maybe being a mix, he is a taller than average ACD height. Right now he is overweight at 71 pounds and we would like to see how he looks at about 58-60 pounds. He is around 6 years old, and gets along with the females here and "some" of the males.
His family did really care about him and were very sad to give him up. The reason given was that their two year old was being knocked over by Zac. I don't feel that it was on purpose, he is just a big boy and maybe a little bit clumsy, but not "mean" at all. He does get very excited / barking around feeding time, so we are working on "patience".
