(Adopted) Sr Miss Lou (Hospice) 4-1-21
4-1-21 Miss Lou comes into rescue after her owners (since she was a pup) moved out of the country. She was not fixed, vaccinated, HW prevention, and all of this information was withheld in addition to her having a mass on her liver (a year ago).
The vet reports state the owner declined all care since she would be passing away.
We have spayed her, vaccinated, microchipped, HWTested in order to place her in a Hospice Home. She is very sweet. She had not lived in a house (was an outside dog) and uses a dog door to go in and out here. She does not like other dogs, so would prefer her last years to be quiet and non-confrontational. (Even though she does share an exercise yard with our senior Beagle)
(Adopted) Grant 6-22-21
6-22-21 Grant, a 5 month old pup, DOB 1-8-21 comes into rescue due to young owners Cancer diagnosis. He appears to be an ACD x Aussie mix. While he weighs around 35 pounds now, he has big feet on him. He is super friendly. He was neutered on 6-23-21, so will be ready to go in a couple of weeks.
(Adopted) Sr Cali (Aussie x ACD)
6-21-21 Welcome, another Senior, named Cali. Her owners daughter kept calling her an ACD, but all her paperwork (and looks) says Australian Shepherd.
She is 8 years old and joined her senior owners 3 years ago. Sadly, both owners are having health concerns and one is in hospice. They are relocating closer to their daughter. She is used to a quiet household but is used to being boarded while they were attending doctors appointments and treatments. She must get a little anxious because there was a thunder shirt and Trazodone in her bag. (She will NOT receive Trazodone here) Another explanation is Cali knows that her owners were struggling. The owner in Hospice said that until just recently they would walk 5 miles a day.
(Adopted) BC x ACD Willow
6-14-21 Willow comes into rescue as an owner surrender. Willow has a ways to go before meeting and greeting but wanted to still post her for the future.
(Adopted) Sr Landry Blue (HW+)
6-15-21 Landry Blue comes into rescue as a shelter transfer. He arrived in Michigan from St Landry Parish where his owners had lost their home due to storms/ flooding. Landry was HW positive and has been treated, yet will need another retest in a few months.
Landry’s paperwork shows him over 6 years old as a guesstimate. He is a big boy at 60 pounds with a nice disposition. He can be grabby with treats and needs slow down on his food but that is easily worked around. He has a docked tail too.
(Adopted) Rat Terrier named Comet 6-16-21
6-16-21 Comet returns to rescue after being adopted in August 2019, then “given away” in October 2020 then found out months later then did adoption paperwork in April 2021. Finally he was surrendered back due to landlord orders.
Comet is a runner so he will require a fenced yard as well as a GPS collar. Comet was found in 2018 by a Good Samaritan in GA at a campground with another dog, an ACD. Comet was intact and HW positive which was all treated at great expense by the Good Samaritan. Comet is around 4 years old and is people/ dog and cat friendly.
(Adopted) Jenni
5-29-21 Jenni comes into rescue as an owner surrender, DOB 10-29-18.
She is a good girl who loves attention and wants to be by your side. She can start out being shy so not sure how much socializing she has had.
She will need to be kept on HW prevention as the owner did not have her on it.
(Adopted) ACDx Cheshire
5-13-21 Cheshire comes into rescue as a shelter transfer where he was slated for euthanasia.
His paperwork shows he is 4 years old. He needs a slow introduction and will become friends readily.
He actually loves attention but has to be given the chance to trust.
(Adopted) ACD Ruby 5-13-21
5-13-21 Ruby comes into rescue as a shelter transfer with Cheshire.
She came into rescue with an attitude but is now ready to receive applications. She is around 2 years old and is doing well now. She shares her time with Cheshire.
ACD experience is a plus.
(Adopted) BC x Aussie “Little Bear”
Little Bear DOB 10-15-20 comes back into rescue through no fault of her own. Her litter was adopted at 4 months of age, yet she seems happy to be back and likes her new playmates. She loves water as you can see by her muddy hair when she came back.
Herding dog experience required, as well as a secure fenced yard.
(Adopted) ACD Lilou 6-3-21
6-3-21 DOB approximately the end of January, aging her at about 4.5 to 5 months. She has been bounced around multiple times in her puppy life. However I see a nice friendly girl who is ready to be accepted into her forever home.
Herding dog experience is required as well as a fenced yard to help train and play.
(Adopted) ACDx J-Lou
J-Lou, 10-29-20 comes into rescue as a resource guarder with barrier aggression. Her paperwork shows her as an ACD x BC.
She is now ready for adoption with an experienced herding breed applicant. We are looking for the adopter that will keep her on the right training path that she has learned here.
(Adopted) Husky - Grayce/Mishka
Grayce is a young female, about 1-2 years. She is shy but does like attention. She likes chew bones and will hoard them from the 2 boys.
Husky experience is required and an adoption application and a fenced yard.
(Adopted) Husky - Gunner
Gunner looks to be a “Fluffy” Siberian Husky.
Adopted through ARC
He has a sweet and little bit shy disposition. He is at the bottom of the pack and is nervous eating around the other dog here. He is very weak in his hind quarters so we are looking for a quiet home for his retirement.
Husky experience required, as well as an application and a fenced yard.
(Adopted) ACD “Wolfie”
5-19-21 Wolfie, DOB 2-22-20, comes into rescue as an owner surrender who now has an application from a former adopter. He has to go through the evaluation period, then he will meet his new family. 5-29-21
(Adopted) Husky “Griswold”
Soon we will have an adult Husky ready for adoption. He is in rough shape, without any training or vetting. He is actually a nice friendly guy. He seems to like other female huskies. Since he is/was intact he can be bossy around males. He seems to be middle age/ young senior by his horrible teeth. His teeth may be horrible because of neglect or lack of proper nutrition or chewing his way out of captivity. He will require a fenced yard. Guessing he will be available around the first part of June. Applications accepted now.
(Adopted) Australian Shepherd X
Granger, an Australian Shepherd mix, is between 1-2 years old. He has a great personality and is friendly with people and dogs. Please submit an application and then we can talk, if approved.
He is a good dog.
(Adopted) “Cal” (Pup) 4-24-21 (OS)

(Adopted) Finn -Patrick 3-16-21 (OS)
Finn-Patrick DOB 11-2 20 comes into rescue for being too active for the grandchildren. We are accepting applications with real ACD experience. He will be vetted 3-31-21 and ready to go that weekend. He is a big boy!
(Adopted) Bluey Boy (OS) 2-8-21
Bluey, DOB 11-17-20 comes into rescue as a little rascal. He is half the size as others his age for some reason. (DNA testing will be interesting) The reason for surrender was “biting” the kids.
