3-14-21 Tobi comes into rescue as a shelter transfer. He is an active 37 pound boy who has a done a couple of tours in the shelter system.

(Adopted) ACD Sr Athena
3-3-21 Athena, DOB 11-24-14, comes into rescue as an owner surrender due to “getting over protective” as shown on her paperwork. Our phone conversation said that she was fighting with the puppy, and there was worry that the children/baby would be hurt.
Athena is a fearful dog, who came with out collar and was let out of the vehicle, where she promptly ran around scared. The owners were heart broken to surrender her and the emotions helped to make her more fearful, in my opinion. When you try to put a slip lead on her or when she meets a new person she pees and poops out of fear. Her paperwork from the vet also notes that she is extremely fearful and needs to be muzzled at the vet
She is currently in our senior dog social group, and is not causing problems with the other dogs. She loves to play fetch!
“Ledger Jax” 2-18-21
2-18-21 We were contacted about a 10 month old “Border Heeler” that was purchased from a person we recognize as a puppy miller. In my opinion he has GSD in him by his appearance. He came in as a fearful dog who didn’t walk on a leash or have social skills.
(Adopted) ACD BlueJack
DOB 11-11-20
BlueJack comes into rescue in January 2021 due to being called back to work.
BlueJack was adopted in March 2021 then returned in September 2021 due to work schedules making too much crate time.
He came back as a big boy over 50 pounds! Nice temperament, was raised around kids.
(Adopted) ACD Sr Bella 2-18-21
2-18-21 Bella, DOB 12-18-13, comes into rescue as an owner surrender due to her redirecting on the wife’s dog when a car would pull into the drive. Sr Bella has had a broken jaw due to Bella grabbing a car tire when the wife pulled in. The wife gave the ultimatum it was her or the dog. The senior owner was sobbing at having to give up his girl.

Adopted! “Almay”
12-16-20 Almay, at 14 weeks, comes into rescue at 14 weeks old, the reason stated was “aggression”. She is not a bad dog, just one who was taken away at 6 weeks and they wonder why she is insecure.
She was vetted on 1-13-21 and will require a patient and experienced adopter who can keep her being a good girl.
The surrender, a month ago, did not give up her medical records after repeatedly asking.
She is a submissive pee’er which tells me she wants to be good just is insecure.
They have called her a LabraHeeler but like I said there is no paperwork confirming that.
Applications only will be accepted.
Adopted AuCaDo “Alle”
8-4-20 Allegra, a year old female Blue Heeler, comes into rescue as a shelter transfer.
She has a docked tail, and is shy at first meeting. Once she trusts you, she is following around, and likes to get treats.
She seems to get along with the dogs here.
The transferring shelter, showed her as being food aggressive on her paperwork, however we are not “taking” her food away from her and always feed them individually
10-3-20 Allegra was Adopted.
12-25-20 Allegra ‘heeled’ and broke skin requiring stitches for a guest at the home. It sounds like she has been getting away with heeling people for some reason.
Adopted! Sgt Pepper nka Ripley
12-2-20 Sgt Pepper comes into rescue as a shelter transfer. At the shelter he did not test well with dogs or cats. He was originally surrendered to them for herding / nipping youngsters. He is VERY ball driven and brings me his toy and keeps inviting me to throw it. He is very people friendly yet is rude by jumping up.
Adopted! “Fountain Oakley”
11-13-20 Oakley comes into rescue as an owner surrender. The reason for surrender was the family was moving and could not take her. She has lived with other dogs and children. She is shy at first yet very sweet. She is recently vetted, as she was not spayed yet at 1.5 years old.
Adopted! “Polly Piper”
11-11-20 Polly Piper, a 7 month old (Mix) as an owner surrender who may have been jealous of the toddler in the home. She is a bit shy / submissive and will make someone a good dog.
She is recently vetted and is now ready to receive applications only.
(Adopted) “Sr Hank”
10-9-20 Hank comes into rescue, as a shelter transfer.
Hank is 6+ years old, and so we are considering him a Senior (young senior).
Hank was surrendered to a shelter due to his original owner passing away, then a family member was bitten when they were attempting to brush him.
So far, Hank has shown a desire to find his person.
AuCaDo Rescue Welcomes “Miller"
10-9-20 Miller comes into rescue, at 8 months old, as an owner surrender.
Miller may have thought he was in charge, but is finding out that’s not the way it works.
ACD experience will be required to apply for this youngster.
“Senior Flex”
12-4-16 We received in Flex from someone who considered his release an emergency. Little did they remember that I had been contacted back in August of 2015 about him and did ask for him. However, they decided against it, even though they had already sent him intact to Canada to be a stud dog thru social media. Fast forward to December 4, 2016 and it was explained that they had tried numerous times to rehome him and Flex would not take to anyone. Well, here we are.
Flex (DOB April 2014) has been through some pretty horrible stuff. I can’t even call it ignorance, since they did have an alternative over a year ago. I so wish I had him then. Flex will require a fenced in yard and quiet household where he can learn to trust again, at his own pace. He is NOT a bad dog, and with time and patience will be a faithful companion.
Please fill out an adoption application in order for us to know if she could be a possible match.
He will require evaluation and settling in time and vetting before we make any kind of decisions on what he is looking for in a forever home.
