Thank You, Diane,

1-3-14 Smokey has a pending adoption, after spending hours with a meet and greet where the 2 resident ACD's (our Harley and Penny) met, went for a walk, went for a car ride, and played in the yard off leash. You should have seen Smokey's big smiles and no one is afraid of him!

12-23-13 Smoke comes back into rescue, after 5 months of living in SD. Reasons given were that their resident ACD (Rosemary-AuCaDo Alummni) did not like him, since she would growl at him when he play bowed. And, it was said that Smoke would growl at the (newlywed) wife, if she would pet him. All I can do is relate what was said to me in the interest of disclosure, yet Smoke has not made any mis-moves with the other dogs here or with myself.

6-28-13 Smoke has a deposit to hold him for a meet and greet around the middle of July.

6-15-13 Smoke, was acquired in December 2008 or 2009 (the surrender form says 2009, but the vet record says 2008) as a pup for the husband. Yet, the husband passed away, and Smoke is now looking for a new home. His surrender form shows that he is good with people, kids, and other dogs. (Yet on the Owner Surrender sheet, he did have a problem with the UPS guy, where he ran out to him, the man started hitting him with the box and Smoke bit his finger.)

Smoke is house trained, neutered, vaccinated for DHLPP and Rabies. Smoke has not been kept on HW prevention, so we will be testing him this week, along with microchip. Smoke is overweight, weighing 60# on the Health Certificate dated February, but seems to look heavier now. The owner did say that the vet advised that the ACD was too heavy. He is a blue heeler coloring, yet his tan points are very light / white. He does have a very nice colored bushy tail.

6-16-13 Smoke has been a good boy and very quiet. He follows with his eyes, and is looking for his person. He is not ready to eat, and seems a bit depressed. He did well with meeting a few new dogs today. He leaves them alone, and they leave him alone. His kennel mate is McMeghan. Smoke did live with another dog, who was also being surrendered to another place.
