10-1-13 MS Pearl had a meet and greet!

9-9-11 Dog Sitter Update: Ms. Pearl & I made a connection. I felt special that she would follow me around & we'd play 'red-light, green light'. She'd let me pet her even though she was a little afraid. She really liked it! And! I got bellies! She made me laugh so much! Such a CLOWN!

3-25-10 MS (Mississippi) Pearl comes into rescue after a long plane ride up to Michigan. We heard that this Alabama pup was in need back in January, yet the owner did not keep in contact or reply to our offers to help this pup. We finally offered to fly the pup here at our expense, since it seemed that she was in trouble. An extra 60 days went by, where we heard that the owner "gave" her away 2 different times where it didn't work out. All of this was not necessary, because the offer to take her in was there this whole time.

The pup was described as deaf and this is what they described in their email: "we are having a hard time with the puppy and she is being left alone all day with nothing or no one. My brother-in-law is tired of dealing with her and wants her gone."

The pup had no vetting, and in order to get her transported she needed a rabies vaccination and health certificate which her owner did not do for her. But, the owner did give her away again (third time that we know of) but this time to the right person who knew we were keeping a place open for her. This nice person got her vaccination vetting done, cared for her for 2 weeks, and took her to New Orleans to the airport. We are very thankful to her guardian angel.

MS Pearl appears to be about 6 months old, and while she was terrified during the plane ride, she is showing us she is quite a smart girl. Everything is brand new to her, she doesn't know a collar or a leash or a treat or a crate. She is showing us that while she may be that oyster in the way she was raised, inside she has the potential to be the beautiful Pearl.

Pearl is spayed now, as we waited for her to settle in before having that done. This girl LOVES the swimming pool (and MUD) so we are requesting that her new home has a wading pool for her to play in.

Pearl likes the dog pack, and is making friends. Pearl is looking for a special person that she can follow around and get hugs and cuddles from. She really does have a good "heart" and wants to do the right thing. Could her special person be you? Our adoption fee covers the spay / neutering, heart worm testing, rabies, distemper combo, microchipping and any other medical that a dog may need. Please consider a rescue that comes to you with all of the routine medical done. Deaf dog adoption require a fenced yard.
