6-15-13 Red Ace has a pending adoption.

8-26-12 Red Ace is now 4 years old. His surrender form says he is being returned due to the adopter having to take care of his 90 year old parents. Through conversations we were told Red Ace has been spending multiple days at a time in boarding and on a weekly basis. We were told he has been in herding training for 3 years, is good with people and other dogs, still uses his crate, and was kept current on vetting. He introduced at his foster home to the pack nicely though we are seeing a very stressed dog at this time. He greeted the OH foster family nicely. Red Ace needs time to settle in and de-stress. He's been bounced a lot it shows.

8-20-12: Red Ace will be returning to OH Rescue this weekend, after a 3 year adoption. To be fair though, his owner tried multiple times to give him up (back to rescue) in the past.

9-20-12: Red Ace has been back in foster care for nearly a month. During this time he has settled in, had surgery to remove an object in his eye, and he is showing us he is a good boy. He is good on a leash and knows his basic obedience commands. He is a strong willed male but he has respect for people who do not allow him to be rude. He has a HIGH herding drive and will not be placed in a home with small children or pets. He would do well in a home with a female dog who will not allow him to push her around. He is laid back in the house, but ready to go when you are. Red Ace requires an adopter with previous Australian Cattle Dog experience.
