6-22-14 Cherokee comes into rescue from a Chicago area shelter, where he was owner surrendered. Cherokee was born 8-25-13. The reason given: "He was surrendered to us because he was nippy with the young children in the home." What I see is no manners, no training, no proper dog to dog socializing. The shelter said he could not be with another dog, yet he and Chakira are just fine. First he was afraid of her, then he tried to mount her, and he was told by me and Chakira not to do this. He did not continue this rude behavior. I wondered why he was walking bow legged, and felt stitches still there from his neuter back at the beginning of the month. (Wow)
