12-10-13 Lincoln is an almost 5 month old pup, who comes into rescue, after getting into some trouble at his home. It seems he kept getting into the garbage, and when corrected would use his mouth on his owners. The owner was new to the breed, and felt that this was not the best place for him to be, with them. He still has his baby teeth, and we have not been successful in getting any medical information from the people who surrendered him.
Will be contacting the owner for DOB and health records, as they did not accompany him on the transport. Lincoln does not seem to know what a leash is for, and becomes afraid easily. He is wearing a baby puppy collar without a d-ring to attach a leash to. In the morning we will get him the proper collar, ID, and test his hearing. We will only be taking applications from ACD (puppy) experienced owners. His vetting will be completed on 12-18-13, and he has a minimum of 2 weeks evaluation / learning here with us. He will not be considered as a holiday gift.
