11-8-13 Linneah nka Molly has a pending adoption! And, she will be a "snow bird" with her new family.
11-4-13 Today, Ms Linneah went out on a meet and greet with one of our adopters to Grandma and Grandpa's house. She did well!
Linneah is showing us that she is a smart girl, who is now crate trained, and has learned that we are not going to hurt her hind end. For some reason, she was defensive of touch to her hind quarters, when she arrived. She has learned that she has nothing to fear (from us), and now trusts us. This may have been the problem, where the "excuse" given was her being mistreated in her previous home. We are not seeing red flags around people and feel that she was better off being surrendered.
Her paperwork says: "nipped at kids during run". Yes, she is a "herding" breed...Yet, instead of making her shy about her hind end, all that was needed was a voice correction and / or spray bottle. She does "listen" and wants to please and loves training treats too!
9-16-13 Linneah comes into rescue from a MI shelter where she was surrendered, due to not being good around 3 year and 5 year old kids. Linneah is 15 months old, and a small girl at 21 pounds. She was described as shutting down in the shelter, and we were contacted. She seems to like it here, so far, as she is giving eye contact, she is eating, and wants to interact with the other dogs.
